You do have to put some care into assembly the enclosure since you are mounting screws to unmarked wood panels, but I found this to be pretty easy. The instructions for combining two enclosures are clear. It is not nearly big enough for a full-grown or nearly full-grown male (he's about 10cmx10cm), so I am getting a second. The enclosure is wonderful for my Russian tortoise.
